When Haynes began producing the "Amadeus" line, they also set out to design an affordable, yet high quality professional series, later named the Q series. As confirmed by one of the Amadeus flute designers, this particular flute is one of the first Q-style models, which were originally marked with the "Amadeus" name. This flute was set up and hand finished in the USA. This model features a Soldered C tone-hole for stronger sound, sterling silver head and body and Gold springs for a smooth mechanism.

Traditional-Cut Headjoint: (marked "Amadeus") This style, featuring an oval shaped embouchure hole, produces an incredibly warm sound with rich low range. This one is modeled after the famous Haynes vintage models, producing a stunning array of tone colors not found with modern headjoints. This one is original to the flute.
Modern-Cut Headjoint: (marked "Amadeus") This style, featuring a more rectangular shaped embouchure hole, is built with a modern style elongated shaped lip plate. This style has a faster response, and is best for playing fast excerpts and making fast jumps between octaves. This style has a greater dynamic range and excellent projection, while still preserving the rich "Haynes Sound". This style is most similar to the "Classic-Cut" headjoint found on the current Q2 series. Comes in it's own Headjoint Case!
