9.5/10 Mint Condition: No scratches, dings or dents. Looks new. (about 5% of instrument we evaluate)

9/10 Excellent Condition: No major scratches, no dings or dents. May have a few very light scratches and very minor signs of use. (about 10% of instruments we evaluate)

8/10 Great Condition: Very good condition with only minor signs of use. There are no major scratches, wear or dents. Might have some light scratches from use. (about 25% of instruments we evaluate)

7/10 Good Condition: Minor to moderate signs of use. Contains minor scratches, and may have a few major scratches and/or dings. No plating wear, or major dents. (about 30% of instruments we evaluate)

5-6/10 Fair Condition: Heavy signs of use. May contain moderate to heavy scratches andmany signs of use. May have spots of minor plating wear, and dings/dents. Keys move and function normally.

2-4/10 Poor Condition: May contain 1 or more of the following criteria: moderate finish wear, bowed or buckled tube, 2 or more keys are noticibly bent or marred, significant dents on the lip plate, missing screw or small part, engraving or similar marks that devalue the instrument.

1/10 Non-functioning: Instrument damage is extensive and non-repairable.

Good: Pads show light to moderate use. Most Pads are in-tact but a couple may need replacement.

Fair: Pads show moderate to heavy use. A couple pads may need replacement and/or pads will need significant adjustment to be playable.

Poor: Pads appear heavily worn. Some or many of the pads may appear ripped or torn. Most or all of pads will need replacement.
